G'day Rexsh. The hundreds of millions would represent the cost of development, the hundreds of billions would be the prize.
And having 855 proven up to replicate 218 would be a massive win for Beach and IMO that is why they were in such a hurry to "accelerate" their un-conventional gas drilling programme and hopping into Halifax-1 6 months early, not even waiting for the rig that they had bought especially.
Halifax-1 has also drilled to a huge 4,267m, 450m into the Patchawarra Formation!! This is exceptional for the C.B. and suggests to me that they are not going to let one stone go unturned to find out what they have got. Those who have any understanding of this well would suggest that it will make 218 a very minor player compared to 855.
For someone to suggest that Halifax-1 has little significance for Beach, thus, not using "exciting" words and bells and whistles with the anns, is quite ludicrous. Halifax-1 "could" confirm the discovery of an entire industry and Beach would be a major player.
Not that important???!!!
