i agree john risk, golds in a trading band thats going toy get more volatile, bigger swings north and south but with a constant DMA worming away in a 'smooth step' action, month in month out.
the trend is more pronounced looking at gold miners. NCM and PRU for a couple of my favourite examples.
as things reach critical... and your guess on time is as good as mine, then the swings will become as much as $100 in a day. but by that time the POG should have breached the $2000 point.
