Sorry Rafish, I was talking about oil companies north of 5 billion- and I specifically said ASX listed NOW, which excludes BHP. Cue Rafish to make a politician lying/changing story reference. Anyway...

If you want to take the market cap argument further, in the history of the ASX, how many disasters vs how many successes? How many oil companies total vs how many oil companies made it to a billion (let's make it easier) REAL dollars in market cap. Surely you don't even have to rub two brain cells together to know which end of the scale is weighted the heaviest.

So historically speaking what is more likely, CTP reaching a market cap of 5 billion or CTP not amounting to a whole lot?

With your rabbit statement you show all of us how little you understand of petroleum exploration. Do you know what a relinquishment is and why it happens?

    Maybe you'd better read this:

    http://www.ret.gov.au/Documents/par/fact/documents/Permit%20Renewals%20and%20Relinquishment.pdf

Note that this is specifically for the NT and other states may vary.
