"It certainly wasn't my intention to "single you out". You sort of did that yourself."

    Hi Giddy,

Forgive me mate but, one would have thought otherwise after reading the following. At least me anyway.

"My comments and suggestions are not about seeking out and punishing. My comments aren't about what has happened in the past. My comments solely relate to proposing changes to the system in order to make it fairer for retail investors in the future. Yours was an issue with the past while mine is an issue about the future.

In no way or form have I ever discouraged anybody from pursuing their rights to seek recourse for things in the past but lets not throw away our chance at a better future just because you failed to get retribution for what happend in the past. The two aren't mutually exclusive but the mixing them up just causes confusion as your posts demonstrate."

Now Giddy, I believe that there are others complaining about the past. More than just me.
And, although I respect Maxw highly for doing what he is doing, and putting all his spare time and money in trying to achieve the impossible, he is doing it too.

Now why don't you reprimand/remind him and all the others that are constantly encouraging him to continue on, if the past is the past, and when we should concentrate on what we can do in the future?? After all you pulled me up!!!

I did what I did in the past simply because I was sick and tired of listening to people complaining about something while not being prepared to do anything concrete to find out what the reasons could have been.
I have satisfied myself of what I found, while I am still not satisfied with the repsonse I got from both the ASX and ASIC. ASIC more that the ASX simply because I believe that what they told me about it, that it was not in their jurisdiction was true.

Yet people still go back to the same ol same ol, knowing that it will get them nowhere until ASIC is dictated from above, to do so.

But so far, no one from above seem to be willing to force ASIC into doing anything that they don't want to do.

I have personally approached a couple of politicians which I respect highly and, after a lenghty conversation with one of the top advisers, I got the same response. I posted the answer I got some time back.

As for the ASA, I belive strongly in what they are doing. Hence why I pay my subs every year. But, to be honest with you, I am sorry to say that I am beginning to think that even the ASA hasn't enough power/clout to force ASIC into doing anything that they don't want to do. To me, that's the reality of it.
As I said before I am of the strong belief that if we will ever be able to get somewhere, the only way would be via the Media as they have real clouts and they can twist the arms of some pollies into doing something. After all any Politician's future is only as long as they retain their seats. And to them, that is a big worry.

Cheers, and lets call it the end of this discussion as it is obvious that we aren't getting anywhere fast.

    Good luck with your trading/investing.

    Buddy
