They can't campaign on policy because most of their policies have failed, cost billions with no funds to pay for them, or are just plain unpopular. The list of stuff-ups is mounting. Minsters are performing poorly.
This is why they resorted to playing the man with their 'get abbott' campaign. Phase 2 was the 'we want Turnbull' campaign. Neither is working.
The personal attacks and name calling from Labor are starting to wear thin. Voters are seeing through it.
They could blame the conservative states but they have tried that already.
