jury duty: excuse needed!, page-2

I got out of jury duty before by suggesting I am an alcoholic.

It was the Gordon Piper(A Country Practice) trial for inappropriate behaviour towards a minor.

I showed up to court & told them in person that there was every chance I would show up to the trial drunk.

They told me to go home & gave me a phone number where I could seek help.

I never heard from the court again.

I was so proud of myself that day :)
