While I agree that it is an option, there could be legal issues with WPL only buying back shares from one shareholder. Shell can sell their stake at any price, it becomes a different matter if the company exclusively asks a shareholder to sell back to them.
The above is only my opinion, I have no legal knowledge to determine whether the post is accurate. If someone can help out that would be great.
