grafton48, from your post it appears your issue with the speech has more to do with Gillard (for the reasons you outlined) than it has to do with the actual speech.
Most of the issues you have with Gillard could also be applied to many other politicians from all political persuasions.
Both Abbott and Gillard are of a low quality, and it would be in Australia's interest if neither of them where leading their respective party come the next election.
