    That is REALLY weird...you posting about Manuka honey. I was just reading about it in a recipe section of a magazine.

    It's from New Zealand, not Tassie, Manuka is the a NZ native tree. It has a strong and distinctive flavour that slightly resembles 'earthy menthol,' so is used sparingly in cooking. (I copied that last line off the recipe site!)

    Its antibacterial properties are about 100 times stronger than regular honey.

    As you state...you get what you pay for.
