The Libs know this but are bidding there time as we are too far out from an election, the 2pp polls are not improving for the libs and with Abbott so unpopular it would be a risk to go to an election with Abbott as leader. Fact is both side want to win the next election at any cost so if they can come up with some thing or some one that will give them the best chance they will use it. For the libs Turnbull is their Ace, it’s just a matter of timing to play that card.
