    Puntland remains an elusive longshot.

As a comparison, Melbourne Cup Longshots have won before and will win again.

Whether or not Puntland has what it takes to produce the goods has yet to be conclusively determined by RMP whether on not the argument below has bearing upon this theory.

Over half a dozen Major multi national oil companies drilled the HOA including Puntland from 1930's till blackhawk down. Their results could be considered arguably inconclusive.

Historic logs have been archived in CP Housten office since they left the Punty zone during the last hiatus ( blackhawk down era ) Most but not all EU results have been deemed lost or destroyed during the ''supreme leader'' facisti regime era pre ww2.

Over 100 exploration wells using the best 2D tech of the era, on the most prospective domes were drilled during the last 82 yrs.

Many produced good bore water for local tribes.

Most seismic results allegedly showed highly fractured domes which implied prehistoric petroleum systems once existed but had in all probability migrated.

RMP AO and initially rrs in these latter years would be or would have been betting on striking an in tact well sealed working petroleum system.

The big one may still be there ? That's the play imo.

There are potentially untapped prospective working systems to the west of the Puntland border and in Yemen . Puntland has always been a high risk to reward ratio.
CP, Esso, ENI, Royal Dutch Shell, and now AO / RMP have collectively produced over 100 exploratory logs.
1 well was productive c/o Italian operation in the 30's. It was much further SSW than Puntland.
This would imply Puntland is potentially an o&g 1% chance of success play at least.

100 TO 1 on the Melboune cup is overdue too.

IMO the region AO RRS RMP have drilled was a political compromise and litmus test .
Had oil been commercially accessible in the region drilled, political instability would have been rife.

It would have also implied better prospects further inland too. But CP results in the hinterland showed fractured systems.
The pirate saga also needs the rest of the decade to be harnessed / fractured / neutralized imo if asystem is ever to be found and infrastructure is to be entrusted to the fractured tribal culture that is the HOA.

Well there's my slant on Punty oil history 101 v dead fleet floating imo fwiw please dyor
