    I agree. Evangelical Christians are classic millenarians.

    What disturbs me is the similarities between the thinking evident in the two groups. There is something of the psychopath in both.

    Given political power, millenarians become single minded reformers and usually leave a lot of dead bodies on the road to the Promised Land. What would happen if a gold bug became Chairman of the Fed or Secratary of the Treasury?
