re: yak... iraq stuffed thanks to al queada you lefties are really missing the point on all of this.

you really have to start thinking more long term and realise that our enemy certainly is.this war on terror was never going to be over in years.it may take many decades.so when situations look good or bad in the short term it is a seperate issue to the main game-to win the war against al queada over the long term.

in all battles leaders will take short term pain for long term advantage.to expect any side to be on top in the minds of the public over a long term war is ridiculous.people are generally incapable of keeping focused on the main game and are easily distracted by the latest fad on the internet.

leaders don't have that luxury and must have a long term plan for victory.

as for iraq, the election result was a major victory and wounded al queada badly in the short term.witness lebanon.they are now very angry and desperate that iraq never has peace.that's sad for the iraqi people but to blame the coalition is to be a stooge of al queada.they have had some short term success in killing more innocent people but don't forget we are killing al queada people which is great for us.(draw them out of their caves)

also we are keeping them busy- idle hands attack the west.

those that think anything we do motivates al queada don't know much about them.read some stuff on the people that inspired the aq movement.

from what i have read obl is fighting with the iraqi terror guy about tactics.he has woken up that the americans are quite happy to fight them on foreign soil and is arguing they should broaden their attacks.
