At the end of the day you've only got for variables to work with. I think it's fine to have lots of indicators provided you understand them.
I don't pretend to.
Knowing the candles, support and resistance and trend lines is most of what I do. Moving averages come next. I have my own volume indicators, it's probably the only innovative thing I've done and it works for me (volume os for me the big underrated variable). I flick a look at MACD and RSI to make sure I'm not doing something totally stupid. And ATRs for stop losses. And parabolics are great for telling you you're too late.
Hmmm I suppose that's quite a lot.
