Dave R, the NBN has only just begun the roll out earlier this year with the announcement of the initial 3 year roll out plan.

The roll out has barely been going for 6 months and we have some people here on HC claiming it is a failure?

I can't image how they can claim that about a long term project. Surely some of these people have previously been involved in setting up or developing a business and understand what is involved and the process.

If the Liberals win the next election and halt the NBN while they renegotiate with Telstra, then the telecommunications industry will be put back into limbo for at least the next 2 years after the election. So best case scenario for the start of the Liberal parties version of the NBN will not be until 2016 at the earliest.

The outdated FTTN Liberal version will be completely inadequate before it even starts.

Also the delay of the NBN in any form, will cost Australia and the industry an enormous amount.
