Basically I agree with you. Especially about the CR and buying tactics.
But, I do not lose sight of the fact that people start these companies, put in years of hard yards and they are not just trying to milk investors [although I am sure I could get thrown off HC if I started naming some culprits I have come across elsewhere].
The people at CNN are genuinely trying to grow a business.
