    Hi Arafura Investor

Let me clear some things up for you in the interest of, well, clarity.

You are correct - the opinion of the royal family has no technical or legal bearing on the outcome of the Lynas proceedings.

But this has never been about who is scientifically right or wrong (otherwise Lynas would have been operating for 6 months now), but a matter of public opinion. It is definitely a ringing endorsement for Lynas and its Advanced Materials Plant to have the figurehead of the province speak out in its favour.

Why has he spoken out? It will account for something like 1% of Malaysia's GDP when fully up and running - which is phenomenal. The royal family obviously want what is in the best interests of the province. It's an economic catalyst that will help leapfrog Malaysia, and Pahang, into the future.

We've always known that the SMSL agenda against Lynas has been misguided and unsubstantiated. Lynas have complied with all domestic and international regulations. They have been subject to review after review, under constant scrutiny, and always been found adhering to the highest possible standards.

Nobody is claiming this ordeal is over, but it is very obviously drawing to a conclusion. Why would anyone in the royal family, who rely on the continued patronage of their subjects, put their credibility on the line if any of them actually thought for a single moment Lynas posed a threat to the health of their people?

If you can't see the upside to the Crown Prince of the region personally declaring Lynas as safe, I'm not sure anything I can say will convince you.
