I bought a small parcel of these last week (average about 8.5)...
Results like this for a channel sampling programme are nothing short of significant...and when you compare the relationship of these results to the magnetics survey, and identification of a skarn environment, the Company may be forgiven for assuming they are on to a significant gold discovery here.
It appears the channel programme has tested the skarn/mag anomalies (to varying degrees) at seven separate locations, the results of just two of which have come back...both of which have hit high-grade gold!
So five more to go!
I am particularly interested in the the results of the channel about 30-40m to the east of the high-grade zone already reported...and wonder when these may be released?
For that matter, the most significant mag-high is traversed twice...so if these are in fact representing a skarn environment, and the gold is associated with magnetite within the skarns, then the most northern samples may well turn out to be the most significant.
Skarns usually carry reasonable gold grades, however (generally) the larger the deposit the lower the grade.
The scale of this one looks to be in the upper scale range...but if the results at surface are a guide to what is below, this may be the exception to he rule.
I would be interested to know how deep the samples were taken in the rock/colluvium profile...and how much the results are likely to have been impacted by enrichment.
Any signs some of these were from fresh-rock...look out!
I wonder if they have a gravity survey over the area, skarns are usually denser than the surrounding rock, so might help determine orientation and scale.
Importantly, looking at the order in which they have been sampling...and sending samples for analysis...the channel close to the best results to date may well be the next released.
I am also waiting on the Ag and Mo...the Ag in particular might be pretty good.
Regardless however, given the number of false-starts of late (ie MEU) I think we should reserve our excitement until after they drill.
Given the size and nature of this target, as a backdrop to the surface gold results, nothing wrong in my mind with getting set first!
Results to date show serious potential...absolutely no doubt about it.
Cheers!
