My mother was a good tennis player and had a fantastic backhand and a pretty good forehand too. I copped both but did it scar me? Not a chance. Context is everything especially to kids. Kids are pretty resilient. Just think of all the kids that survive war and other disasters and go on to have great lives because they are able to see things as they are and move on.
