    Love this discussion, mainly because I agree with both views.

    If forced to choose, I would take a bland (measured, stoic, whatever) CEO with a company that delivers meaningful results in a good time frame. NEN has huge potential (mainly Vietnam) but has not kept pace with the results of other junior oil producers.

    The Paloma project has dragged more than a tolerant executive could tolerate. I recognize limited access to equipment, but still does seem slower than other oilers are accomplishing. (At the same time, I do accept KC's point about taking time to build rapport in the Monterey area.) I suspect even the Vietnam projects could have moved faster (e.g. ENI signed up earlier, so they would now be drilling.)
