    Hi Humms, Biggles and all,

I know the Crows well and will be back here next April to salmon fish with Ronan Watters the owner. There has been some terrific music to be had here this last week during the Sligo Live festival. I always enjoyed the music of Van Morrison but did not realise he had the stage presence and charismatic charm of a dead dog until this week.

    Hi Biggles,

I thought as diligent as you are in saving others from the folly of owning Gold you could manage your half hour per day even during your sabbatical. Feel free to check with Dub (Ok by me) but be it tuna fishing off Mexico or blue shark off Mullaghmore I always take the time to counter your futile arguments and save possible future Gold enthusiasts from being mislead.

Don’t tell me our jet setting potential Ferrari affording resident Gold Bear and brilliant share market timer doesn’t own a lap top!

Oh! Please promise to at least drop into an internet café when Gold hits your price of $540.00. I’d like to think our friendship went at least that far, if you are going to be in the UK when Gold hits that level even you would have the heart to buy poor misguide Andy a pint to drown my sorrows!

I would hang on to that FX Street comment as it may be a while before it dries out and can comment again. Gold may have slid $100.00 but it’s also slid from $300.00 (2002)to over $1,700.00 today so I would not worry about me and my ability to turn left next time I walk down the air bridge. Instead maybe worry about your Telstra shares and US dollars and your own ability to retire when you want to and if you can indeed go to the airport and leave the chickens and runner beans unprotected from the starving mob!

Fun and games still going on in South Africa lowering Gold production, not sure rubber bullets are that useful as a negotiating tool.

Maybe increasing unemployment I Germany will force their hands on the European money printing out of fresh air:

China also getting in on the Uncle Ben fresh air printing merry-go-round:

Current happenings around the world only reinforce the need to have some form of insurance set up for you and yours, physical Gold is one avenue but maybe some unperishable food and basic survival items are also not such a bad idea as we never really know just what is around the corner.

Despite some very unhelpful comments by some I am sure the majority of people posting on these threads wish our American cousins across the water the very best of luck over the coming days.

Cheers to all and very best regards: Andy
