Here is my 5 cents worth. I will be waiting for the barrage of abuse from some but here goes....
I know many on this forum subscribe to the theory of evolution, thus nullifying God, but I personally find it very difficult to believe that my great great great (etc) grandfather was nothing more than some single cell organism that just appeared after the "big bang"......... How does a living organism, regardless of how simple it is, begin? How can life begin from non life?
I don’t believe in flying saucers… so in my mind at least, I am not left with many choices as to how life began. In regards to Adam and Eve, if whoever wrote the account of the garden of Eden (I believe it was Moses, but I could be in error ) wanted to hoodwink us all, surely he could have come up with a better story and say that God created Adam, Eve and 50 or so other couples. That would seem more credible and easier to swallow. Perhaps he wrote the story of Adam and Eve the way he did because it’s the way it actually happened. Does that make sense to anyone other than me?
The other interesting thing is that throughout the Old Testament, God has stated that he would revive the nation of Israel. And that happened just over 50 years ago. Was that just a coincidence or is there something more to it?
