Elsewhere Rhodia has made a bit of a public issue of the fact that recycling is not profitable without Eu subsidies and I'll suggest it's a bit of a smokescreen to cover the start of processing RE again. Despite what has been stated they have had Th/U issues at La Rochelle, they have a small mountain of the stuff stockpiled, and I've found a few references to "issues" at a council level. They used to dump the stuff straight into the harbour so I won't be eating any of their locl oysters, lol.

Rhodia has a deal with Tantalus for clay sourced (negligible Th) HRE con but that is still way off production so isn't it a remarkable coincidence that they are restarting the remaining 11 batteries just as the LAMP 1&2 comes online with 960tpa of SEG & HRE, free of Th/U? You just have to wonder how long has this been in planning? 3/4 years?

Maybe wishful thinking but I strongly suggest there is way more to Lynas than simply digging the stuff up and pushing it out the LAMP gate at a simple basket price. One thing of which I am certain is that the REO market is considerably more complex than any of us realise and that NC is unlikely to forgo the potential CREO leverage into downstream value add with potentially 36% of total Eu production, nearly 20% of all Tb and 15% Dy with the addition of Duncan. The Siemans JV is an obvious model.

To think I started by trading this stock, sheeesh.
