I agree that you would expect that the surplus cash will be used to repay debt but its also interesting to have a look at Resolution 3 (reduction of share capital to remove accumulated losses) in the Notice of Meeting which just arrived in the mail today - why would this be proposed now after so many years of having accumulated losses on the books?
Prehaps the cash generation from the existing business and COIN now makes everyone comfortable with some debt.
