Oil, agreed it is a good example of govt backflips and inconsistencies and proof that Australia is not perfect, but I still don't see what the issue is with Able Tasman as such (although must admit I haven't done any reseach on the topic as to wether it's claimed it will destroy the great barrier reef or something beyond simply the quota, which is not ship specific).
