elder, the situation of women in the worlds largest mus lim country i.e. Indonesia, is completely different to the situation of women in Arab countries. In many cases women in Indonesia have more power and control than their men. The point I was making to yak was that the situation of women in any society has more to do with ethnic culture than with religion. Indonesia is a prime example of that, but you are also ignoring the position of power that many women have ascended to in various mus lim countries also.
