Top of the morning gypsies,my fellow travellers
on the path to peace and prosperity.

Continuing Costa's theme of family please permit me to introduce my Dad and substitute Grandpop,two of the major influences in my life.

Sadly both gone but we had some grand times,Dad on the right and Old Tom to the left.Some great yarns spun out on the boat as Tom was at Gallipoli (a blacksmith by trade)and Dad,a WW2 Navy vet, was torpedoed twice in succession.

Just the stuff for a youngster growing up.

We were independent then,had to be.As well as fishing I was encouraged to find other ways to feed the family when Dad was at sea

Austere times as the next pic shows.Nary a shoe to be seen in the front row.

Now for the fun part of todays post.I appear somewhere in this school photo
