cheers camden. My position is based on my prediction we are seeing a steady sustained rise in unemployment. This in turn will result in a significant rise in bad debts for banks, caused in part by people unable to sustain mortgage repayments, car loans, and a fall in credit generally. As your other piece stated: WBC is looking fully valued. hence, whilst my shorts will have to wear the cost of divs (but not franking credits being CFDs)i feel that bank SPs are vulnerable. time will tell.
I do agree there are many stks that are fully priced and could be shorting positions for readers.
PS. i have already banked some profits from my shorts in NAB. However the other 3 are in the red and we'll see what will happen. I have little faith in world economy's ability to continue to stagger along.
