    Humpty,

In a capitalist, or free market, economy is it a Governments place to step in and save failed private enterprise companies? This could be considered nationalisation, and would they have to do the same for all the others in the same industry? One of the biggest problems that the Chinese Government had was that it was supporting numerous uneconomic ventures, and as it has been moving to a free market position it has allowed many of them to fall over.

Also based on your belief of "the potential massive future revenue that could have been delivered." Given that the existing shareholders have been waiting years for this to eventuate, and there is no evidence to say it will change in the near future, how long would you expect the Government to wait? Interesting that you support a free market but when it turns sour for you, you then expect the Government to step in. Personally, I would not expect nor look for Government support, we made the investment and it almost failed. We all understand that is disappointing for you that support has come from a party that you did not want as it did not favour you, and now that it has you are calling foal. Again I am grateful for the support as I now have a position in a company that may still succeed.

Also can you imagine the outcry from other shareholder's in other failed enterprises, that they would argue had a better business model and more chance of turning a profit than MST and received no Government support. Just look at the noise about the support to the car industry.

Also as I said before given the treaty relationship between Australia and the US, the Government will have no problems with the transfer of the IP. Would be different if it was North Korea or similar.

Rather than continuing to be be despondent and bemoaning the situation, I suggest that you become positive and grab the second chance we have been given. However, on the flip side under the new ownership it may still fail, and that is the impression that I am getting that you are looking forward to.
