Hilohi, you've hit the nail on the head.

    If the deal goes through:
no institutional investors will buy shares (no control)
no rival companies will buy shares (takeover bid impossible)

the only support for our SP will then be not EPS multiple but purely dividend multiple (which will most certainly not be priced in until it actually happens) so our price will fall & stagnate for years & by the time we actually get into a position of paying divvies SG might well take us out, meaning all the invested money they put in now will go back to their full ownership (meaning this upfront payment is actually free & guarantees no one else can take us), & our shares will be twice as cheap for them to do a T/O down the line, or simply multiple Chinese govt entities can take it if FIRB blocks a buy out.

To me it is a poisoned chalice.

A no vote puts us back in play for the whole market, including SG to retry at a higher offer & lesser control if they wish, & from such a point of being oversold because of all this malarkey I would well imagine we will see a rapid recovery in the SP, Institutions would come on board & look at a cap raising as a way of building position at a fixed price than on market. rival miners may want a foothold for the TI rollercoaster too in the hope of JV or TO

All just my opinion of course
