The very short-term problem will be that some of the sophisticated holders will be happy with an overnight profit of several percent, and may dump before the plebs (i.e. us) get our cheap shares. It may only be a small proportion of sophisticated holders who do it, but it could affect the share price, especially at open. Some of these guys make their money from getting an inside line on discounted shares.

Long-term is doesn't/shouldn't matter as Icon prospects are still good, and they now how a nice capital cushion, regardless of what BPT do or the take-up of the SPP.

Finally, have to say it again, this would all have been unnecessary if costs had been better managed by RJ and the board.
