Sofa You have just hit the nail on its head . Jews live in Israel because : 1. They were not welcome - throughout history - among other nations . They were discriminated against , raped ,pogromed , murdered , at best exiled from nearly everywhere . Even in the USA , in some parts , back in the 50's , they could not simply , enter certain pubs ( blacks , jews , dogs ...you know that one ) or clubs . 2. Because most of them were BORN there and they love their homeland . 3. It is a land that through their COLLECTIVE CULTURAL NATIONAL MEMORY has always been a land that was TAKEN from them by others , and they were bound to return back to it , if you liked it or not . In certain circumstances , that could eventuate , in many countries , Jews , will be a scapegoat , will need , a shelter . Russian Jews came to Israel because they were the scapegoat to the malfunction of the soviet union for decades .They have quickly integrated in Israel and have contributed immensely to their new country .
That's it . A bitter truth . Israel is their land and it happens to be in an Arab infested area . NO BETTER CHOICE for a nation .
And just to refute certain hopes . ISRAEL is there to STAY . IF , god forbids , somebody takes your way of thinking seriously and try to force the issue , it WILL NOT GO ALONE . a food for a thought .The neighbours know that fact very well . Duff
