Semi automatic but it probably takes about 5 mins a day as I have to get the data from :
ASX - for Daily shorts at 11am
ASIC- Short Interest at 2pm
Comsec - during the day for price and volume information
Yahoo - analyst data. A mate wrote a program for me to download that information
Cooltrader for End of Day information.
To do all that probably takes about 5 mins all up each day for covering about 600 stocks
