    As usual you have once again missed the point completely.

    Yes mandatory dentetion has helped in stopping these boats - along with other measures

    and Yes the majority of Australians do agree with the mandatory dention policy

    But here is where most Australians IMO and people like you depart in their thinking - most Australians would also agree the processing of these people needs to be quick and the government has a duty of care to ensure these people particularly children are held in a safe environment.

    That is what the case is about Yak IF THIS DUTY OF CARE WAS BREACHED and the psychological damge caused to this child was because of the breach of duty of care - NOT THE DETENTION ITSELF

    Psychological damage that could be very possible - something YOU would realise even if you are completely usless at the profession you claim to be in.
