it is generally referred to as welfare-shopping.

Australia has a good mix on offer, particularly the generous welfare system that is quite easy to rort for those determined to do so.

The purpose does not seem to be so much the safety as is claimed, but the mix of attributes that can be gained by managing to circumvent our immigration laws and settle here.

You can imagine that paying end entrusting yourself and your family and children to a bunch of criminals and gangsters like the people smuggler groups who were paid to transport them half-way around the world to our shores, and who have coached them on various methods to try to more easily get around our legal system, does not readily suggest that safety for themselves or their families and children was first and foremost in their minds.
