I think this slump in property has been a mini disaster for some prospective buyers and current renters. After scanning the local rentals on offer around my suburb, prices have gone crazy, up maybe 10-15% on the last time I looked which was only about a year ago. You could fetch a 2-3 bed house with a yard for 400-420pw now 450-470.
