because a hydrometallurgical process is a chemical process it is scalable up from lab models more reliably than pyrometallurgical processes where temperature and engineering considerations are more complicated. ( i understand that ALS AMMTEC ran it at pilot plant level and CSIRO is running a separate analysis of the process)
On a separate note the market duely punished the 12m x .65% copper sulphide seen in the RC drilling. This was a disappointment consdering the expecation of 42m of chalcopyrite or high grade magic by everybody. I am not trying to put any spin, but what seems to have not been mentioned is that the previous recorded exploratory programmes failed to demonstrate massive sulphide copper ores at depth although it showed significant amounts of oxidised ore at surface (this is a statement directly taken from the work 'mount hardy copper mine' previously published here)--the current finding changes that and--from todays announcement they believe that they clipped the edge of a deposit --as is known the copper towards the edge of vms deposits decreases. It would be interesting to see what the other drills hit.
