I'm not aware that anyone is alleging that Julia Gillard was knowingly involved in significant theft or fraud.

Gillard's association with a former male friend of 20 years ago reflected poorly on her performance while she was at S&G; consequently she resigned from that firm - in my view a pretty high price for a young lawyer.

Subsequently the whole box and dice was trawled through the Victorian Parliament - no charges etc directed at Gillard then, nor are any likely to arise this time round.

But can Gillard be held accountable for the behaviour of her former boyfriend or for that matter, anyone else; fair suck of the sauce bottle!

Of course now we have yet another round of trial by Abbott and Co. and yet another media circus. It's just a smokescreen to divert attention from Mr 27%'s poor standing in the community due to his ongoing failure to deliver a vision, strategic plan or policies for our future.

Something of far greater moment; Clive Palmer's comments about threats against him and his resignation from the Liberal Party; isn't even in the news today.

The misogynistic witch hunt is alive and well!
