Billy ... you are IMO on the money. I am absolutely gob smacked as to amount of text wasted on what is in all probability a young bloke (probably late 30's / early 40's) looking for a change. I doubt working with a scrap metal merchant who has a law degree and dabbles in minerals and court battles is always a great place to be. Just maybe he's had enough of having lawyers tick off his every next word. Just maybe he's grown an interest in growing orchids or has decided to be a My Mom... who knows, who cares.

I cannot see how this resignation must be somehow sinister. The company secretary left after the conclusion of the AGM which rates firly highly on a company secretary's things to do list.

If the company has got something to say and that they are required to say it, then I'm sure they'll say it. In the meantime, can we lighten up a little?
