re: Ann: 2012 Annual General Meeting 23 Novem... Alright, I must admit, when I first saw that the AGM went for 1 hour, I said to myself, I will watch the first 20 minutes and see how I go (it is a Saturday morning..).

Well... 1 hour later. Well worth it. So many great little insights into the company. A company with a great history that is continuing to be written. Around (12:30 mark), you hear the shareholders association speak, some pretty impressive numbers provided:
Over 10 years BPT has had compound growth of %14.8 earnings per share pa.
Dividend growth per share over the same decades was %15.8 pa.

From a company with a MC of 8 million in 1995, to 2012 with an MC of $1.8 billion.. That is a growth of 225 times..

BPT seem to have all the bases covered regarding staffing. I can only hope the other stocks I hold have such a professional ethic towards building a business.

btw - Glen Davis is an excellent public speaker.

Reg - Cooper Basin's BCGA - "probably only 1/3 of its potential is related to shale gas...." Look forward to others thoughts on what Reg is hinting at.

Only %10 of capex will be spent on foreign exploration, focus is still here in Oz. However, the projects they have chosen to invest in.. were chosen with the utmost care to offer BPT shareholders future growth, with a particular focus on oil, not gas (we have lots of gas in Oz).

New resource upgrade in the calender year... because of all the drilling undertaken in PEL 218 & 855. I have posted before about this, the market is pushing BPT higher, because people are starting to realise that Reg is not talking crap, there really is 300+ TCF of resource in just PEL 218.. (brr - 34 minutes in)

Perhaps I am getting lazy, but all holders should watch from about 30 minutes to 34 minutes. It is a must.

Tanzania is looking really exciting, but these things take time. BPT is 2 full years ahead of Total in regards to the PSA, seismic etc etc. Nice job BPT.

Anyway, too much to talk about and I have essay's to mark.
