I don't mind a discussion about native title negotiations, but all too often on resources threads, the slightest delay as a result of due process in negotiations with the traditional owners of the land...brings out a reflex reaction and all the usual generalisations.

    It is their land.
    They have rights.

Negotiate in good faith and everybody gets what they deserve.

In all the years I have been following CSG and Shale, I can't ever recall the native owners being unwilling to negotiate in good faith.

But every time the issue is raised, the native owners are portrayed negatively by posters.

I don't apologise for being sensitive to this just like I think we need to be mindful of genuine environmental concerns regarding fracking.

    The environment matters.
Respecting native title and the original owners of this land also matters.

We can still make money...and plenty of it while being respectful of each other.

Whatever comes of BRU, it won't be because it took a few weeks or months to negotiate with the native title holders.

    That's all.
