David Hills (the NEW CEO of Looksmart) said in a CC ... "yes, we are doing things with Viacom" .... in spite of someone making a 'silly' headline, contrary to this advice. ("yahoo secures viacom not look"). But, I'd rather take notice of a CEO of the company, thank you!!

I had previously posted here where (to date), Looksmart's full list of advertisers are currently showing in results of those 7 of 17 CBS Sites, that also have a Furl reference at the bottom of each results page.

I had said:

Check out a variation of Looksmart's Furl.Net ("Save it" - Top left hand corner, on the home page) and then the Looksmart directory results, (plus a Furl offering, displayed), that will be on all these 17 sites!!!

Generally, Publisher/Media Co 'deals' are designed to have the 'partner' utilise their own advertisers, with Looksmart to 'backfill' where or, as when, needed.

LOOK would only generate revenues (from a partner's AD when 'clicked on'), within a Looksmart site. But there are many Look listings are within these CBS results.

But, with ASKJ (it appears), they will 'share' their advertiser base with each other and build on it from both ends. That's an exciting future prospect!!

We shouldn't underestimate the increased exposure Looksmart have indirectly gained, in recent times.

Of course .... Time will tell. Particularly with the release of a new 'cluster' of Verticals due shortly ... LOL !!
