    must agree the debate here is far from ractional.

    I can except that Gillard is not popular but the extreme right here don't seem to accept that Abbott is more unpopular.

    Lets say that Gillard gets taken down by the AWU scandle, is that going get Abbott the job of PM? I don't think so, come an election voters will be looking at opposing policy and details. Abbott has little here, showing the PM is bad doesn't make him a creditable alternative.

    Any way regardless of who is leading labor at the next election, unless Abbott can create a miricale in the coming months and improve Lib's 2PP and his own popularity the Lib's will not risk keeping him as leader.

    It would be a safe bet that over Xmas backroom talk amoungst the Libs will be focusing on the next election.

    Yes I know that Turnbull has decared he will not be leading the Lib's but that would be expected, I can't see Turnbull staying in politics just to be a minister.
