This is, what I would have thought the JV with BASF is for. As far as I understood, their JV will deliver to the local BASF Petronas Chemicals, sitting right next door in Gebeng.
All the more I have wondered in the past, how it has been possible, that such a vocal opposition could play their hand locally, when interests of all-powerful Petronas are threatened so very directly.
