I can name a small handful of explorers that have a realistic chance of the 1mt contained copper inventory in the next 12 months without a capex bill and the hundreds of millions. It is a big, big number and, despite the slander of mgt that sadly occurs on this forum on an all to regular basis, their track record in reaching the 600kt target is excellent and thus I have confidence that we will push well beyond the 1mt cu target in due course.
In-fill drilling is critical here as JORC is moved into the measured category. Three rigs is another big positive. In terms of the wider exploration program, it will be very interesting to see what else is out there.
BTW, geo MDs are notoriously poor at PR. It is rare to find a good geo that is also a good PR guy. Hence the comments. At this stage of AVBs life cycle, it is best that the geos are in the field and at the negotiating table. PR will take care of itself. Xstrata Copper will take care of the marketing of the copper too.
