People look at Genesis as a science manual to describe creation when in all likelihood it is descriptive jewish poetry.
As for the universe coming from nothing or even more simply life created from non life in some primordial soup. That would be the biggest belief in blind faith that only the most gullible would be seduced by.
It is interesting how selective or inconsistent individuals are when they place the burdon of evidence for one theory over another theory.
