there was nothing breathless about Julia Gillard's delivery and if you dismiss this as nothing more than a "triumph of style over content" then maybe you should take a look at the content. Her content practically all came from the Liberal Party ........ Howard with his double standards, Kennett who is trying to raise the focus on mental disease, Brandis who says "disgusting" and from the wabbott himself when he spoke on a similar issue previously in the parliament. From their own mouths she clearly zoned in on this creep Abbott who was sitting there smirking like some kid who has been caught out.
Gillard says of Howard .... "Mr Howard was clearly of the view Mr Brogden should resign," she said. "Indeed Mr Howard's failure to offer John Brogden any support was pivotal in Mr Brogden's decision to resign. Mr Howard can't apply one standard to Mr Brogden and a completely different and lesser standard to Tony Abbott."
Jeff Kennett says ..... "You can't have a senior federal Health Minister and particularly the one charged with mental health matters, depression, being so insensitive to the environment in which he lives that he would make those comments,"
Gillard says of Abbott ..... "Tony Abbott's reaction wasn't the natural human reaction; it was callous, it was insensitive, it was grossly inappropriate for the man who ultimately is responsible for Australia's mental health system".
The simple fact is that Abbott's apology was nothing more than a superficial trivial expression to Brogden indicating his continuing ignorance of the actual issue. Not all that dissimilar to yourself where if it isn't cold dollars and cents then it is of no importance...... so stigmatising human suffering, mental illness and suicide are used by the bully gang. Chumps love this sort of stuff. makes them feel good. ..... e.g. elder
ps If you cast your mind back to the debate Gillard and Abbott were to have at Sydney University over union fees, you will find how Abbott is nothing more than a wuss. It was Abbott’s office that leaned on the police to make things sound worse than they were which gave Abbott an excuse to chicken out of a debate with Gillard without losing too much face. That's the character of this manipulative individual .. remember his fund for honesty in politics? LOL
