Are you seriously suggesting that ALL revolutions should have been left in abeyance until the tyrant resigned voluntarily or died? I wonder what would have occurred, under this scenario,if:
- Hitler had been left to murder and torture, beyond human comprehension, millions of Jews,Gypsies and anyone that did not fit in with his mindless,narrow view of a Superior Aryan race;
- The murderous Chilean dictator -Pinochet;
- the French revolution had never taken place (well, I suppose the guillotine would not have been as busy!);
- the Communist leaders of Eastern Europe,especially those in Rumania and East Germany, had never been overthrown.
Of course, there have been (and still are)numerous dictators who have been allowed to systematically murder and torture their citizens until the dictator died:
Stalin;
Mao;
Pol Pot of Khmer Rouge infamy (well,almost till his death);
Mubuto of Africa;
Robert Mugabe, and many many others in Africa and elsewhere, but especially in Africa,too numerous to mention.
