I didn't think Nick came across well at all, actually. Apart from that low camera angle which made it look like he was looking down and smirking superciliously, he really didn't answer Tan or the interviewer's questions.

He completely missed the opportunity to refute the accusation about a "radioactive waste pile" by actually saying that there won't be one.

He also didn't answer Tan's accusation that the plant is inherently unsafe, because it had to be shut down about an hour and a half after the first feed to kiln. How come we hear that from SMSL? Shouldn't the investors have that information? SMSL obviously have much better spies on the ground than we do! And if it was for some minor operational reason, then the market should have been given an operational update - we should NOT have to be hearing stuff like that from SMSL.

He also didn't make much at all of the reasons for being in Malaysia - he tried, but it was all kerfuffle and bluster. Nothing about the presence and ready availability of the chemicals needed. Nothing about customers such as BASF being there for the offtake. Or Siemens setting up there once the REEs become available.

I really though he did a terrible job. Eric Noyrez, even though English is not his native language, would have done a much better job.

I sure didn't come away from that after watching it feeling positive!
