ECT are not playing games, and I don't believe they intend to either.
Monash on the other hand, based on their performance, or more accurately non-performance to date, is another story.
When you consider a much larger picture in relation to the whole coal industry, that is including the brown and black coal varieties, and the potential threat that the ECT technology could place on the black coal industry by way of producing a cheaper equivalent product anywhere in the world (that there is suitable brown coal), there could be some very influential vested black coal interests that may prefer ECT get taken out of the game as early as possible.
I'm not saying that this is the case, just that the continuing delays by Monash are beyond frustrating, and with limited information being provided by way of ECT announcements as to the reasons for the delay, all options as to reasons why should be considered, reviewed, dismissed, or investigated further.
It wouldn't be the first time that a new innovative technology is scuttled just before it gains to much traction !
I believe that there is much more at stake then first meets the eye !
